Ten years ago my sustainable nutrition journey began when I decided to follow a vegan diet. Though I no longer follow any particular diet, plant-based eating has stuck with me as a way to eat more consciously. I have always been passionate about knowing where my food comes from, supporting my local food system, and reducing my personal impact on the environment – especially in the kitchen.
Fast forward to today – my fiancé and I recently bought a home and I bought 10 chickens before we even closed on the property. I was beyond ready to start learning how to become more self-sufficient. Since then, I’ve added six more chickens to my flock, learned to tap trees for maple syrup, and have started seeds for my first real garden.
My goal is to teach you how to reconnect to your body through conscious and mindful eating and to live in a way that benefits both you and the environment.
