  • 1 small (approx. 1 to 1 ½ pounds) butternut squash peeled, deseeded, and cut into ½-inch strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Peel and cut butternut squash into ½-inch fry-shaped pieces. Place the cut squash in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat.

  • Sprinkle the flour and spices over the butternut squash, tossing to ensure each piece is coated evenly.
    1 tablespoon flour, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon chili powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon cumin, ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 2 minutes. Place the seasoned butternut squash in the air fryer basket. Cook for 14 to 16 minutes, shaking the basket occasionally, until the fries are crispy on the outside and cooked through.
  • Serve butternut squash fries with your favorite dip, such as ketchup, BBQ sauce, or aioli. Enjoy!
